Part of the Norwegian Byen Fornyelse (Foundation for Urban Renewal) site, this section looks at Poundbury, the urban extension to Dorchester (UK) initiated by HRH The Prince of Wales and the Duchy of Cornwall. The text (in English) covers key features of the scheme - the ten principles underlying it; the Poundbury philosophy; the design brief; the architecture; and the environment. The site also includes many superb quality photographs of Poundbury, taken by Audun Engh and Erling Okkenhaug in 1999 and 2000, though it would be useful to see some more recent updates.
