World On Wheels - Exploring the natural and urban environment

World on Wheels was a 12 month round the world research expedition that departed from the UK in April 2003. The team were all architecture students and designers, looking at architecture and urban design in different cultures from around the world. The project was described as being "about the adventure of travelling and exploring the sense of arrival around the globe", and the site features a full record of the expedition, including information about the research, team members, routes and equipments. Numerous photographs taken at different stages of the expedition help make this a rich and hugely enjoyable site. Awarded a Sapling Commendation. [GAS, 5 Nov 2005].
