Bournemouth University - School of Conservation Sciences
 http://www.bournemouth.ac.uk/conservation/

One of seven Schools within Bournemouth University, Conservation Sciences encompasses Archaeology, Geography, Environmental, Forensic and Earth Sciences, Ecology, Biology, Heritage Conservation and Coastal Zone Management. Slickly presented as part of the University's overall web identity, the School's pages offer the information you would expect about its staff, courses and research, enlivened with many good quality images. Lincoln School of Architecture
 http://www.lincoln.ac.uk/arc/

The Lincoln School of Architecture (LSA) is located close to the centre of the city of Lincoln, sited in a new £10.5 million purpose-built facility designed by the world renowned architect Rick Mather. Formerly the Hull School of Architecture, the School's origins date back to the 1930s when Sir Lesley Martin was its first principal. Since that time, the School states that "it has established an international reputation for the study of Architecture, Museum and Exhibition Design, and Interior Design". The School's website is elegantly designed and simple to use - sections provide background about the School, details of its undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, and a series of useful staff profiles. However, the absence of any information about the School's research activity is disappointing. [GAS, 7 Jul 2006].

University of Gloucestershire - Department of Natural and Social Sciences
 --NEW URL-- http://www.glos.ac.uk/faculties/ehs/sciences/

Formed by the merger of the Schools of Environment and Social Sciences, the University of Gloucestershire Department of Natural and Social Sciences "delivers a diverse range of study programmes in the areas of biology, community development, environmental science, geography, heritage management, landscape and garden design, psychology and sociology". Integrated visually and physically within the overall University site, the Department's pages do look and read rather like a prospectus, with the comprehensive staff profiles and up-to-date news section adding a much-needed richness. However, for a university department, the absence of a research section is unusual. [GAS, 10 May 2006].
